Who We Are

TSG Search is not a generalist recruitment firm. We are a purpose-built search organization with two distinct verticals each engineered to serve a specific hiring need operating under a shared philosophy of quality, research, and long-term partnership.

TSG Search (Talent Search Group) is one of India’s fastest-growing executive search and selection firms, specializing in identifying high-impact talent across a diverse range of industries. Headquartered in Mumbai, with offices in Delhi, Bangalore, and Chennai, we bring together domain expertise, research rigour, and a deeply consultative approach to talent acquisition.

Under the leadership of Tarun Grover a career that spans engineering at Tata Motors, corporate P&L at ICI India, a tenure as CEO of an American MNC, and over 20 years in executive search TSG Search has built a reputation for quality that clients rely on for their most critical mandates.

The TSG Search Journey

1985 – 1989

Engineering & Management

Tarun Grover graduates from Delhi College of Engineering (Mechanical) and earns his MBA from FMS, University of Delhi.

1989 – 2000

Corporate Leadership

Over 11 years managing P&L across Rubber Chemicals, Paints, Acrylics, and Surfactants at ICI India. Moved Eastern Region from #3 to #1 in two years.

2000 – 2005

CEO, International Copper Association

Built the Indian organization from scratch for the American MNC. Placed India on the global copper map. Drove nationwide copper consumption growth.

2005 – 2009

Search Specialist

Director at CHR Global, leading CxO mandates. Closed landmark positions: COO at Tata Power, MD at IndusInd Bank, CFO at Hinduja Power.

June 2009

Tracers India Founded

Established in Mumbai. Began with a commitment to consultant-led, research-driven search over database recruitment.

2010 - 2018

National Expansion

Opened offices in Delhi, Bangalore, and Chennai. Built deep domain expertise across Manufacturing, Chemicals, FMCG, Life Sciences, and Healthcare.

2018 – 2024

Global Footprint

Executed mandates across South Asia, Africa, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Established reciprocal partnerships on 5 continents.

2024 – 2025

Strategic Evolution

Architected the dual-engine model: TSG Pro for retained leadership search and TSG Plus for mid-level volume hiring. Built out TSG Global and TSG Diversity.

February 2026

TSG Search is Born

Tracers India formally evolves into TSG Search (Talent Search Group). A new identity. The same uncompromising standard of excellence.
